  • 1985–1990: Chief Geologist of the Arctic coal exploration expedition on the Svalbard Archipelago, in Barentsburg;
  • 1991–2003: Head of Department of Geological Study of Solid Mineral Deposits in Arctic Regions, All-Russia Institute of Ocean Geology & Mineral Resource (VNIIOgeangeologie);
  • 2004–present: Professor in the Department of Mineral Exploration & Geology at St. Petersburg Imperial Mining University, St.Petersburg.
