She was engaged in the development and implementation of analytical methods for drug control. He is the author and co-author of more than 30 methods that are included in the technological regulations for the synthesis of drugs;
- 1998–2013: Head of the Department of Ecology, Chromatography and Oil Products, West Siberian Test Center, Novokuznetsk;
- 2013–2017: Deputy General Director for Research and Innovation at JSC West Siberian Test Center, Novokuznetsk;

- study of coal, coke, peat, other types of solid fuel and products of its processing;
- determination of the gas content of coal seams, the study of natural combustible gas;
- analysis of water: drinking, natural (underground, surface, snow), waste, etc.;
- ecological studies of soils, soils, silts, sediments, vegetation, various wastes;
- studies of the air of the atmosphere, the sanitary protection zone, jobs and industrial emissions from enterprises.

- study of the composition and properties of petroleum products (gasolines, diesel fuels, oils, etc.);
- determination of chemical elements in minerals (ferrous and non-ferrous metal ores), rocks, building materials and other objects;

- physical and mechanical testing of non-metallic raw materials and building materials;

Zherebtsov S.I. became laureates of the competition in memory of Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna Makariy (Bulgakov) "Research in the field of rational nature management, ecology and environmental protection of the coal-mining region of the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass". The competitive work is the result of many years of work of the team on the problem of rational nature management in Kuzbass, the ecological situation of which is due to a high technogenic load on the territory, associated mainly with the functioning of mining, mining and processing and heat power enterprises.
